As Junior Dean, I served as a bridge between students and college leadership, actively supporting the well-being of over 750 students. I provided 24-hour on-call pastoral care and crisis support, successfully de-escalating every situation brought to my attention. By regularly supporting student–staff dialogue and resolution, I helped strengthen trust across the community.

I provided on-call student support and conflict resolution, responding to sensitive issues as they arose and helping students feel heard, safe, and supported.
Oversight of Major Events
I supported a range of college events, from intimate formal dinners to large celebrations with over 500 guests. I worked to ensure smooth delivery, safety, and inclusion.
Presence & Approachability
I offered regular in-person support at the porter’s lodge, creating a trusted space for students to feel heard and included.

This poster introduced our Junior Dean team to the Linacre community and signaled our commitment to being approachable and available. It helped foster a culture where students knew they were supported and where to turn when it mattered.
Why It Matters
Supporting students through emotionally complex situations taught me how to lead with empathy, remain composed under pressure, and communicate with clarity even in high-stress moments. I learned how to build trust quickly, navigate difficult conversations with care, and take action when others hesitate. These lessons continue to shape how I work, especially when supporting others, staying present, and making thoughtful decisions.
